Alhambra - S075 Our stay was a 45 day timeframe. This property can easily accommodate 6 people with the 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. The house is roomy providing space and privacy for all. The fire place downstairs with the large TV and hot tub were a plus. It is in a quiet neighborhood with plenty of room for daily walks. Just be mindful there are many inclines. The views are amazing and a wonderful treat to wake up to every day. Close to many restaurants, hiking trails and shops. Whole Foods and Natural Grocers are a 5 minute drive from the house. The house is well equipped with anything you would need such as toaster, air fryer, cooking pots/pans and utensils. A full supply of plates, silverware, cups glasses etc. The kitchen is complete with full size appliances (fridge, stove, dishwasher). There were a couple of instances with the garage door that were quickly attended to during our stay. Foothills Mgmnt was quick to respond to any questions or concerns. This is our second stay with Foothills.

The location was also amazing - so close to the trail head - and the pool with cathedral mountains as a backdrop was breathtaking! We had a wonderful time and would love to come back.
Our only recommendations, albeit small, were that the kitchen knives could be upgraded (along with the teflon pans and spatulas), it would be nice if the pool light had worked, and the king bed in the master suite was too firm.

The property is well maintained, so conveniently located for our preference and conveniences of local grocery shopping, restaurants, etc. The grounds are beautiful.

The hood over the stove could be more level with the stove top to collect all the heat/steam from using the larger burners on the front of the stove. The coffee maker was very particular to get a normal pot of coffee from. We brought grounds vs whole beans. Only used the machine twice. The rest of the kitchen appliances we did not use. Everything else worked out great! In a year or 2 we will be back! We will see if this place will be available to us again. The location is perfect for all the hiking we do in the area of Oak Creek. Thank you for such a wonderful vacation!

Nepenthe - Columbine - S078 Our stay in West Sedona was lovely. I have stayed in the Nepenthe community four times, in different units. The grounds are clean and beautifully landscaped, and the atmosphere is relaxed and quiet. It's in a great location. Close to shopping and trail heads. You can hike to the top of Airport or head south into Carol Canyon right from the front door. We enjoyed the hot tub after a day of hiking. The kitchen was well stocked and there were plenty of bath and bed linens. We stayed in January, and found the heating system to be a challenge. The furnace is located upstairs, which keeps the upstairs cozy but the lower level is on the cool side. We used the fireplace to help heat the lower level. This set up is more efficient for A/C in warmer weather. I recommend staying in this clean and comfortable Nepenthe unit.

We will suggest that they purchase either an ottoman or some recliner type chairs. We are older (60s) and these are important things for our daily lives! We were able to hang most of our clothes in the closest but for shorts, swimsuits, etc, we constantly had to dig in our suitcases to find them. Having some drawers would have been nice and seems like a basic piece of furniture for the bedroom.

Saddlehorn - S119 What an absolutely fantastic home and incredible time we had in Sedona!! Our family all traveled to Sedona from Indianapolis to celebrate our mother & grandmother 70th birthday and this could not have been a more perfect home or location to host our group!
The view from this lovely home on Saddlehorn Road is unmatched, its absolutely spectacular and pictures dont even do it justice! The home is just stunning, the overall design and layout is thoughtful and so well done with enough private space for everyone but large common areas, wonderful for gathering for meals and relaxation and game playing. The furnishings and finishes are high quality, comfortable and lovely! The outdoor area is fantastic and very spacious with comfortable seating for watching both sunrises and sunsets and enjoying meals outside.
The house is very well appointed with all the amenities, appliances and things you could need! Great for cooking, beautiful appliances and grill. The beds are firm but comfortable, the towels are nice and thick, they even left thoughtful items for renters like hiking sticks, umbrellas, extra hiking backpacks, laundry detergent, they included convenient notes with helpful info all around and labels on the light switches (there are a lot bc its very beautifully lit!), etc! They really have thought of everything!
The artwork in the home is absolutely stunning, so unique and special! Its like an art gallery, we thoroughly enjoyed studying all of it!! The gardens are also so beautiful and designed so thoughtfully for texture and color and even a little outdoor art too. So many neat touches in every corner!
We love music and noticed the impressive speakers everywhere and found an easy way to listen to music through them. Follow the instructions are in the pocket of the white binder but then turn the source knob to TV/SAT and on the living room TV, go to music from menu and select a station, then it will play that music through the speakers. You could also bring a Bluetooth adapter to play from a phone. The system is a bit older but very nice so a small work around helped us make it work. Its wonderful!
The hot tub was also enjoyed by all because we were blessed with fantastic weather and cool evenings. It was a highlight for the kids in our group!
The neighborhood is large, private and quiet. Perfect for going on walks and enjoying nights out star gazing on the back patio.
Its also a super convenient area with a great grocery store, Clarks less than five minutes away and plenty of little restaurants. Pro tip: get the fresh cro-nut out of the donut case at Clarks! YUM!! Also great grab and go breakfast and lunch sandwiches, soup and salad bar. AZ Famous Pizza co will deliver to the house, as well!
There is a 20ish minute drive (more on weekends) to downtown Sedona where the majority of food, shopping and acitivities are but the drive is spectacularly beautiful and so enjoyable.
The town of Sedona is SO great, beautiful, endless unique shops, restaurants and bars with great outdoor areas to sit and soak up the stunning view, great gelato (LOVE GELATO had the best! Right near Sedona Fudge Company downtown) and coffee shops. Also great souvenirs! Its a must visit!! Talaquepaque is also such a neat shopping and dining area that is so quaint and charming, right downtown!
We enjoyed fantastic meals in Sedona, as well and we love food and flavor so can be a tad picky but wow, we loved SO many meals! Top recs are definitely Mariposa and Elote Cafe (get a reservation WELL in advance for each one!!), we also really liked Cowboy Club (the BEST burgers, sweet potato fries with ranch and margaritas!), Mesa Grill at the airport for a neat view and Agave 89 for tacos; nachos and Margs. We ate outside at all and loved the view and vibe! For options close to the house, Cucina Rustica and Lisa Pisa were great! Try to get reservations any time you can, as was recommended to us.
We had kids from ages 9-14 and selected hikes based on that. Our favorite family friendly hikes were Crescent Moon Park including Buddha Beach and lots of creek stomping with canyons around, Bell Rock (close to the house) with the incredible views, Airport Mesa overlook with amazing views and the kids top pick: Slide Rock State Park (go early and wear a suit!)! We also loved doing a hummer tour through the company, A Day In The West that can fit more people than a jeep tour. That was the kids second fav!
We drove to both the Grand Canyon and Page Arizona with Antelope Canyon. Both were incredible and within 3 hours drive, a piece. At the Grand Canyon, We saw amazing views, experienced a wild hail storm in June, saw the coolest wildlife including wild horses with a fowl and many elk families with babies and hiked rim trail at the Grand Canyon which was SO great! We even took in the IMAX movie about the Grand Canyon and it was even great! The drive home was long after a long day, but worth it! Antelope Canyon was pretty far, 6 hours of driving total in one day but nothing compares to the incredible slot canyons and we loved the slot canyon tour we did with Kens Tours (best priced of the tours, but same length as others and great guides). We also kayaked antelope canyon through Lake Powell Paddle and Kayak company and the kids were able to cliff dive which they LOVED! Horseshoe bend was also stunning! It was a long day but worth it so long as you start very early on both days. We came from Eastern time so it was easy for us.

As its clear to see, we had an incredible time all around but waking up to the sunrises of this home, returning home to its warm charm nightly, wrapping up with a glass of wine under the stars and enjoying every aspect of this lovely home was one of the top highlights of a truly wonderful trip! It was clean and had the best equipped kitchen we've ever had. Lots of dishes, pans, utensils, spices, and even coffee and olive oil. The outdoor area was lovely and we spent a lot of time out on the deck --reading, relaxing and eating dinner.
The only thing we had a bit of trouble with was the password for the WiFi--there were different passwords listed at the house in the notebook and posted by the desk. They didn't work. We finally check the email from the property manager with a different password that worked. You should change the information in the book and by the desk to reflect the current password.

It was cool experiencing some of the simple yet nice touches, such as board games in the closet, a pre-set dinner table, and a guide for local things to do. Typically we set our bar low when going to a rental property, knowing not everything will be perfect; in this case, we had an extraordinary time.
Anything that we would change is just minor feedback. Since it was a new property, it would be recommended to remove all the stickers on the appliances/dishware. Nothing that made it a negative experience by all means :) Will definitely be back!!!

The owners clearly take great pride in their house and every time we walk in, it feels like a "home," not just a vacation rental. The kitchen is a dream to cook in. There is room for our children to visit and we all have a separate space with the guest bedrooms on the first level. The property is expansive with a direct view of Cathedral rock. There are hummingbirds gracing the back patio, and deer freely roam. As for location, we love Oak Creek. Lisa Dahl opened her third restaurant and Bell Rock, Courthouse and Little Horse hiking trails are close by. But there are many other trails that are less busy. When things get crazy in NYC, I summon up the views from White Cedar. I feel lucky to spend a month in this beautiful home.

(NOTE: We loved that we got to turn out the lights by 10pm so that everyone could enjoy the nightsky. Our kids couldn't believe how many stars they got to see every night.) This home has the perfect amount of space with upscale decor and amenities. Everything from the seating to the beds and bedding wrap you in comfort, perfect after long hikes. The kitchen has everything a chef and family could need! Our 17 year old loved having his own "casita." This home is also in the perfect location. It's nestled in a quiet neighborhood yet close to walk to shopping and restaurants and close to the main roads to anywhere you wish to explore. We enjoyed hiking all the buttes and drove to the Grand Canyon. Thank you for the maps and the park pass - this pass lets you park in all the different lots for the various buttes and trails. (We hiked them all. Be sure to get there early though if you want a space.) There's also a great park within walking distance for kids and dogs that we took advantage of with our 11 year old soccer player. He was able to practice his drills and played with some of the local kids while we enjoyed petting the local dogs. One of our favorite things about this property is that it truly makes you feel like you are home! We LOVED our time in Sedona.

We so appreciated the truly lovely decor, the super comfy, cozy beds, pillows and bedding, the pack-n-play and baby toys, the patio games, yoga room and mats, the easy access to doing laundry, the Red Rock parking pass, and the extremely well-stocked kitchen. We had other family staying at another airbnb, and we were able to host them for several meals both indoors and on the patio, including grilling, food prep and cooking for 12 people! Loved the cocktail prep items. You've really thought of everything to make a family vacation less stressful. The location is also perfect - we loved doing hikes and trail running from right out our door, as well as Sunset Park so nearby. (Having Walgreens, Safeway, Starbucks and Sedonuts so close was a plus too!) We would HIGHLY recommend this vacation home for our friends and colleagues!

Though the house design and decoration were a bit too much in our opinion, the place was all we needed for a week's stay.
The bedrooms are nice, the living room area was cozy and had enough room for all of us, the kitchen is well equipped and there is a nice outdoor area that we didn't use because it was too cold.
There is a pool and hot tub in the community center which we used and enjoyed a lot!
The internet connection was good for all of us to work remotely and have video calls.
We would be happy to come again!

Highly recommend dinner at Cucina Rustica. Just be sure to make reservations ahead of time as they are hard to get and they dont serve walk ins. Best Italian restaurant Ive been to! I would highly recommend this home and area. Foothills Properties was a pleasure to deal with as well.

(my husband and I either walked the golf course or hiked every morning) The property was very comfortable and roomy and had everything you needed and more. There were a few maintenance issues that were handled quickly, however, being that we stayed for 5 months, I would expect a few maintenance issues! Next time we are in Sedona, we will definitely stay again!

Little Spirit - S044 My wife and I stayed at Little Spirit for the month of October. Weve visited Sedona many times ranging from an overnight stay to a 10-day vacation, and we were ready to just go somewhere we knew we enjoyed and could relax for an extended period. We looked at a lot of options for a rental property. Being familiar with the area, we knew that we wanted to stay in the Village of Oak Creek and we liked being off the beaten path. I initially found this property using VRBO.com, but ended up working directly with the folks at Foothills rather than renting through VRBO. That made the process easier but there were a few minor differences between working directly through Foothills compared with the details listed on VRBO (I think the cancelation policy through VRBO was slightly better, but at the end of the day, that was not really an issue). Little Spirit was by far the best option we found based on location, amenities and overall cost.
Ill admit that I was a little concerned about staying up in the end of Jacks Canyon due to the drive back to route 179 (we had a similar situation staying in a small rental house out along the Verde Valley School Road and that drive, while easy did get a little tiresome). But the drive to Little Spirit was easy with paved road the entire way, takes less than 10 minutes and has the bonus of lovely scenery and the occasional wildlife sighting along the way.
The other concern was the lack of connectivity at Little Spirit. The description of the property clearly stated that there is poor cell signal and weak internet at the house. That was true, but was not nearly as bad as I thought it would be. We did have minimal signal (I have Verizon and my wife has ATT; neither were great for calls but texting was reasonable). We were teleworking while in Sedona, so we did need the internet, and we had no issue with email, general web browsing and even communicating via video-conferencing (Teams or Zoom). Of course we turned the cameras off to conserve bandwidth. I also brought cables with me so that we could connect directly to the router rather than rely on the wireless and that seemed to help as well. Granted, we had set low expectations for the internet connectivity at the house, but we had no issues with staying connected.
The house itself was perfect for the two of us. Clean and comfortable. Plenty of space in all the rooms. The galley kitchen was well stocked with dishes, cooking utensils, pots and pans. My only complaint was the lack of proper beer glasses! Hey, Im and IPA guy, so the proper glassware is important. But other than that minor nit, we had everything we needed.
We did have plenty of space to set up our temporary offices. The little office nook was ideal for connecting to the internet and conducting Teams meetings. When we both needed to be on a computer, one would use the nook and the other would set up shop on the table in the living area. Both worked well. The nice thing was that both had views so we could keep track of the wildlife.
One of my favorite details of Little Spirit is the large windows that look out from the front of the house on the little desert landscape area and the surrounding trees and shrubs. Great for birding and there was usually a lot of activity there at times throughout the morning. The highlight for us was the Bobcat that came through and caught a quail for breakfast.
We spent almost every afternoon outside, usually in the backyard seating area, but we also used the dining area in the front and I also pulled a chair around and sat in the driveway a few afternoons, just to have a little better view of the sandstone cliffs. No matter where you sit, bring your camera as you never know what will come flying or trotting by (javelina, rabbits, mule deer, bobcat, and a wide range of birds from Broad-tailed hummers to Sharp-shinned Hawks).
We enjoyed our month in Sedona. The hiking is outstanding, the food is amazing and the beer scene is starting to take off (Sedona Beer Company in Uptown Sedona is excellent and JesseLees Craft Beer Market in the Village of Oak Creek has a great selection of beer and wine). Staying at Little Spirit made the trip that much better as we had a great location to use as a base for all of daily excursions and an ideal place to relax each evening. We would absolutely stay at Little Spirit in the future.

If I were to say anything it would be that.... to make the pool area "perfect" it would be nice to have a table and umbrella for shade by the poolside. There is just something about this area, but the apartment in particular, a good vibe and positive energy that is hard to pinpoint, but definitely here. A fantastic location, a beautiful apartment supported by a world-class team from Foothills Property.
A special thanks from us to the team who prepared and cleaned the apartment. It was absolutely spotless. Not only the obvious surfaces were cleaned, but weeks later we would discover that places that are almost never opened or looked at were also immaculate. Everything was so perfect it's hard to overstate it. The way the towels were folded in the closet, the way the kitchen dish towels were meticulously placed in drawers, the way they stocked the glasses and plates in the cabinets, it was all very thoughtful, allowing us to see what we have and use. This team deserves extra kudos and please, don't ever let them leave. They make such a difference to the whole experience.

Thus, you can hike right out of the house. The owner has taken pains with a lot of cutting boards and rubber mats to protect her Corian counters and tables. I think most renters are just going to set those aside somewhere and not use them. The doilies got in the way as well. BUT I loved how much care the owner took to provide so many amenities. The house was spotless and well-organized. The kitchen was well-stocked with lovely tools for cooking. The TV was great, and we loved the Lazy boy couches. Just a great little house. It is small, but we were just 2. The wi-fi was pretty good (around 30 MBPS) but slower than other houses...might just be bad luck for the location of this house.

The sunrises overlooking the infinity pool and gorgeous vistas were incredible. It is perfect for family gatherings, reunions or retreats. Beautiful family dining table. Our chef enjoyed the kitchen. Sky Dancer - S019 The property is magnificent! The views alone are worth staying at Sky Dancer. Great location for hiking right from the house. My only complaint is that there was no lighting over the dining room table. Looked like there was once a chandelier there, but was missing now. No other light in the area. We improvised with a lamp on the table, but that is something that should be addressed. The rest of the house was everything we had hoped for and more. Loved it!

ZSunset 510 - S025 CLOSED AUG 2024 We very much enjoyed our stay. The property was easy to find and access, and the welcome basket was a nice touch. Two thumbs up for the grill. We loved the simplicity of the decor, the dishware, and several of the small touches (like the toothbrush caddie and makeup wash cloth). A couple of constructive suggestions. A higher quality cork screw, spice rack, additional night light, lighter (or matches) for candles, a soap holder for the shower shelf, water filter pitcher (Brita), and an 11:00-12:00 check out time would have enhanced our experience. In addition, relocating the welcome board to a less obvious location (it's essentially adjacent to the dining room table) could improve the overall look of the space (maybe blank wall by utility closet?).
